Regent’s Canal is a canal across an area just north of central London, England. It provides a link from the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal, 550 yards north-west of Paddington Basin in the west, to the Limehouse Basin and the River Thames in east London. The canal is 8.6 miles long.

The Wenlock Basin is a long and narrow canal basin on Regent’s Canal meant for private residential use only. It is therefore not managed or owned by the Canal & River Trust. It is a 320 metre long canal basin on the Regent’s Canal, in the Hoxton area of the London Borough of Hackney.

In the grounds of the Conishead Prior house is the Kadampa Buddhist Temple, a temple dedicated to world peace. We captured the magnificent temple on a clear sky day showered in natural light.

Our visit to Conishead Priory was more of a chance visit. While holidaying in the Lake District, near Cumbria, we knew of a Buddhist temple in the area and wanted to see this. Little did we know it was a lot more than just a temple.
